Last weekend I had a few mini shoots that I can’t resist sharing; the first being Andrea and Matt’s maternity session. I met Andrea (cough15cough) years ago (no, we ARE NOT old) or so when we both worked at Gap together. We spent many nights working hard in that store and formed quite a bond! Since then, we parted ways, but always were friends via social media where we could catch up on each other’s lives. Meeting up with her this weekend showed me she is in one of the most beautiful stages of her life – with Matt (who clearly adores her so much – I could tell from the instant I saw them both together), a sweet baby girl growing, and surrounded by love. Our little session was so much fun and I simply cannot wait to watch these two become parents to little Hannah! You both are so wonderful – THANK YOU for letting me meet up with you on this chilly weekend :)
I met Molly a long time ago when I photographed one of her friends – and then another’s – wedding! So we’ve been “Facebook” friends for awhile, but up until last week, we haven’t spent much time together in person. She emailed me a few months back asking for a family shoot and I couldn’t have been more excited – and they drove in from the east side, which was even more amazing to me! How thankful am I to get the chance to meet and photograph such wonderful families? And there’s something about Molly & Steve – they are just genuinely good people – you can tell from the instant you’re with them. And especially in how they are parenting Steven – so calm, gentle and patient with him. He is a lucky boy to have them as his parents – and even luckier to be getting a new baby sibling in just a few months!
We met up last week when the weather was still warm(ish) and enjoyed the November sunshine while hiking around these beautiful trails! I wish we could do this every weekend! :)
I don’t even need to point this out – but those EYES!
This entire family has a little piece of my heart. I feel like I’ve known them for so long (I photographed Alex and Ashlee’s wedding, engagement and family sessions) and every time I see them again it feels like just yesterday. And this time – I got to meet a brand new member who just turned one – Caleb! What a joy he is – no shock, based on his mom, dad, aunt, grandma & grandpa ;) (who joined us for the second half of this session)! This family exudes kindness and I am always so happy when I am hanging out with them!
We had a beautiful, misty morning filled with love and laughter! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites!
I’m going to start this post out with a major throwback photo from 6 years ago! This is Noah at 1 year old with his Dad compared to Noah at 7 years old with his Dad! I can NOT believe it’s been that long since I’ve taken the Kuiper’s photos, and how fast that time has gone. And how TALL Noah has gotten – it’s crazy! (not to mention how my photography style has changed, too!)
Just look at these two!
I met up with Tony, Cara, Noah & Emma about a week ago in the beautiful fall colors to capture some family photos (and extended family – coming up!) I can’t tell you what a treat it was to hang out with them for an hour or two! Noah has grown into such a kind, sweet young man – so mature and full of smiles & conversation. Emma, who I met for the first time, is full of adventure, joy and so incredibly sweet with a touch of goofy – the photos were making me laugh at her cheese smiles! Tony and Cara are creating a really wonderful family. I can tell their children embody who they are as people – incredibly kind hearted and loving.
These two are celebrating 30 years together :)
Thank you to the entire Kuipers family! I had such a wonderful evening :)
